Summary:
TGP2 files may be updated in the field due to scope change, program defect/enhancement, or other reasons. This article will walk you through updating TGP2 files on a controller using Tracer TU.
Resolution:
Use the following steps for updating the TGP2 file on a UC controller in the field.
- Save the .tgp2 file to your desktop.
- Open TU and connect to the controller.
- Select the TGP2 Editor button.
4. Select File, Open
5. Locate the .tgp2 file located on your desktop. Click the file and click open.
6. If you’re replacing a file on a control with an updated one, make sure that the new file and the original have the same name, so the new file saves over the original one. To view the file names currently installed on the controller, select View, Display Program List.
7. Click the Send to Controller button.
8. You will get a message that says the program already exists on the controller. Click Yes to continue.
9. The update is complete.
