Error Code Eb
Summary:
The Eb error code concerns the thermostat, which controls the unit. The compressor's operation is controlled according to thermostat calls.
🛑 Note: If you give the board an invalid thermostat call, you will get an Eb Error Code. Please verify whether the error code is Eb or E6. They look very similar. The Eb error code has no bar on top, and E6 has a bar on top of the digit.
Sequence:
- After a power cycle, when the unit receives a Y1 signal, Compressor A is delayed for 3 minutes to start.
- After the first Y1 call, each subsequent Y1 call has a 7-minute delay.
- When the unit receives a Y2 signal after compressor A is turned on, compressor B is delayed for 3 seconds to start.
- When the unit receives a Y1 signal, only one compressor is turned on. Compressor A and compressor B are rotated according to the running time. (Running times are tracked on the board and cannot be viewed.
🛑 Note:
- Eb is a unit lock-out and requires a power cycle to clear.
- Eb can be caused by a Y1 without a G, W1 without a G (on electric heat units), Y2 before Y1, and Heat/ Cool call simultaneously.
