Overview:
Emergency Stop
To wire a Smoke Detector or other shutdown device to the Symbio unit use the J18 terminals on the Symbio 700 UC.
The contacts are default normally open (closure between J18-1 and 2 will shut the unit down)
You do not have to enable Emergency Stop in the Symbio 700 menu (Emergency Stop is always enabled)
External Auto Stop
Units with a Customer Connection Module (CCM) installed will have an additional input that can be used to Stop the unit but has a lower priority than the Emergency Stop input. In addition to having a Customer Connection Module installed, the feature must also be Enabled in CONFIGURATIONS.
The contacts are default normally open (closure between J3-3 and 4 will shut the unit down)
Customer Connection Polarity
Some applications would prefer that the Emergency Stop and/or External Auto Stop be configured for Normally Closed instead of Normally Open. This can be changed with the Customer Connection Input Polarity feature in the Phone App.
It is located in Tools section of the phone app.
