How to setup the Trane Tracer Concierge mobile app

Resolution:

Note: Tracer SC must be at V4.3 or higher to be compatible with the Tracer Concierge mobile app, otherwise the mobile app will show an error message, regarding the Tracer SC version compatibility, when attempting to connect.

1. Download the Tracer Concierge mobile app from the store:  Apple App Store (for iOS) or Google Play (for Android).
2. Start the app and enter the connection information for the Tracer SC:  IP address, Username, Password
   • Option 1: Use the same Tracer SC username and password as the Display uses to connect. (e.g. "LocalDisplay")
     • Pros/Cons:
       • Display Settings are the same as (and will stay in sync with) those set for the display:  zone show/hide/order, setpoint limit, show/hide alerts, language setting
       • When troubleshooting in the Tracer SC web interface, the overrides from the mobile app will be the same user as the Display. You may not be able to determine whether the override was done by the Display or the mobile app.
   • Option 2:  Create a separate Tracer SC username the mobile app to use; different from the Display.
     • Pros/Cons:
       • Display Settings need to be setup in the Tracer SC user preferences: zone show/hide/order, setpoint limit, show/hide alerts, language setting.
       • Display Settings can be different between the mobile app and the Display.
       • When troubleshooting in the Tracer SC web interface, the overrides from the mobile app will be a different user than those from the Display.
3. Tap Connect.

Note: Similar to BAS Operator Suite, the Tracer Concierge mobile app must have network access to the Tracer SC. Typically, this means that the Tracer SC is on the building network as well as the mobile device, and/or the mobile device has VPN access to the network with the Tracer SC.
