Symbio UI is a built-in web interface that is primarily targeted at 3rd party integrators, but can also be used by Trane Techs as an alternate to Tracer TU for viewing and setting up basic parameters. This tool allows 3rd party integrators to change basic information about the controller. No login credentials are needed to use Symbio UI. Below is a list of the available settings that can be changed on a Symbio 400B/500.

Connecting:
A USB cable must be connected between the PC and controller for Symbio UI to be displayed. Once the cable is connected to the service tool port on the controller, open a browser and enter 198.80.18.1. After accepting the EULA the Installation page below will be shown. Browsers that support Symbio UI are Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge. Internet Explorer does not support Symbio UI.
Regional Specifications:
Installation > System Units
- Time Zone - Set the time zone of the controller
- Date and Time Acquisition Method - Select between entering the date and time manually or synchronizing with an NTP server..
System Units:
Installation > System Units
Select between SI and IP for the units communicated over BACnet. Changing the System Units will fail if any TGP2 program on the controller is set to "System Units". All TGP2 programs must be set to either IP or SI to prevent issues from happening with the program with converting System Units.
