Problem
There may be instances when the IntelliPak's mechanical cooling operation behaves erratically, resulting in nuisance alarms or limits related to Loss of Charge, High Superheat, High Pressure Detected, High Compressor Differential, and Frostat. One of the initial steps a technician should take is to verify whether the EXV Configuration is correctly set. This configuration is often improperly set following a Symbio 800 replacement if a backup was not available on the MicroSD card. In such cases, the unit's configuration must be manually entered using Tracer TU. Additionally, there have been occasions when the configuration was incorrectly set at the factory.
Solution
How to Change Symbio 800 Configurations
EXV Selection can be found in Configurations>Options Setup
IPAK 1 - DOE (R410A) and A2L (R454B)
IPAK 2 - DOE (R410A) and A2L (R454B)
IPAK 3 - OLD (R410A) and NEW (R454B)
Note: The EXV model or configuration can also be located on the body or power head of the EXV as an additional point of verification.
