It is on you to fully understand the unit sequence prior to disabling alarms. In some cases, alarms have latching mechanisms which disable outputs until a user acknowledges it. When you disable an alarm, the sequence is still active. Disabling an alarm can make it difficult to troubleshoot/understand unit operations.
Purpose
This guide directs users on how to disable alarm conditions which may be viewed as a nuisance/not critical to the customer on UC and Symbio controlled products using Tracer TU.
Resolution
In the example below, we look at how to disable alarms for Space Temperature Local. Space temperature local refers to a hardwired temperature input that is not required if there is a building automation system in place writing to Space Temperature BAS.

| 2. You may get a message stating the point is locked. Select Ok to proceed. | |
| 3. Select the alarm conditions tab. | |
| 4. You have a few options for alarm customization here. Select the check box to the left of Disable Alarm and Faults if the point is not used in your application. Visit the Help button in the lower right of the window for more information on setting up custom alarm properties. Select the Ok button when complete to close the window. | |
