- *LCU One-Speed Fan RTEM Economizer Minimum Position Handling
Economizer Operation with Zone Sensor, Programmable Zone Sensor, or ICS
When enabled, the economizer will modulate between minimum position and 100% to maintain the mixed air temperature to the calculated mixed air setpoint (53°F minimum). If the mixed air temperature starts to fall below the mixed air setpoint, the economizer starts closing. If the mixed air temperature falls to 50°F or below, the damper will close to the minimum position.
Economizer Operation with Conventional Thermostat
The economizer control is based strictly on a signal from the thermostat, but still maintains mixed air temperature control of 53° ±3°F when in the economizer mode. The economizer enable and disable function is still determined by the outside air sensor through the RTRM.
1. Apply power to the unit.
2. Place the zone sensor fan selector in the fan “ON” position and the heat/cool the selector in the “OFF” position to place the damper in the minimum ventilation position.
3. Turn the Min Position potentiometer (on the rooftop economizer module [RTEM]) clockwise to open or counterclockwise to close. The damper will open to this setting each time the blower circuit is energized. When adjusting the minimum position, the damper may move to the new setting in several small steps.
4. Wait at least 15 seconds for the damper to settle at the new position.
5. Replace the filter access panel. The damper will close when the blower circuit is de-energized.
