Issue:
What is the proper location of VariTrac Bypass damper?
Resolution:
In the callers design there is a take off direct from the supply and then the duct work splits into 2 separate ducts. Where should he install the Communicating Bypass damper?
Ideally the Communicating Bypass damper should be on the duct leaving the supply however for some unknown reason there may not be room to place the Bypass damper here. If necessary the design could support a Bypass damper and communicating assembly on one of the duct take offs and then another Bypass damper on the second duct utilizing a Slave UCM. In this case the 2 Bypass dampers would require the cable that would tie the 2 By-Pass dampers together so that they would control together.
