Issue:
Will a BCU talk to a VariTrac III Central Control Panel (CCP3)?
Resolution:
No. BCUs support only the VariTrac II Central Control Panel (CCP2), not the VariTrac III Central Control Panel (CCP3).
While it is true that Tracker V12 communicates to the CCP III over Lon, this is a proprietary interface that the BCU does not support.
Options:
Â
1) If you have a job that currently uses CCP III's, the simplest solution is to change the CCP III's to CCP II's, add velocity sensors in the supply duct, and put them on the Comm3 link of a BCU. The CCP II is only available as a service part and does not come with the enclosure as if 1/2015.
Â
2) Add a Tracker V12 panel to connect the CCP III's to Tracer ES.  Tracer ES is designed to work with Tracker V12 directly for status, scheduling, alarming and trending data. There will be a little more work with creating the graphics for the Tracker system, but Centralized Services already has experience in doing this.
