Resolution:

Tracker PC software part #4020-1185.

 

Tracker PC software does not come with a BMTK Tracker, it must be purchased separately.

 

Tracker PC software requirements as listed on CD cover

Software requirements are:
Windows 98 SE
Windows ME
Windows 2000 w/SP4 or higher
Windows XP Professional w/ SP1 or higher (XP Home Edition and XP Media Edition are not supported)
Windows Vista Business, Vista Ultimate, or Vista Enterprise Edition
Internet Explorer version 5.5 or higher

 

Windows 7 (32 and 64 bit) was tested on and has been approved with Tracker v12 SP7 and VariTrac v12 SP5 software.

 

Windows 8, Windows 8.1 are NOT supported by Tracker or Varitrac PC software.

 

Windows 10 is supported.  It must be a professional version.  Home versions are not supported for any Trane software.

 

Minimum PC hardware requirements are:
Pentium 233 MHz processor
64 MB RAM (128 MB for 2000/XP)
32X CD ROM
150 MB free hard disk space
15-inch SVGA monitor with 800x600 resolution and 16-bit color
Internal or external 56 Kbps modem

Tracker PC software is not licensed which means you can buy one copy and install it on as many PCs as you like. That being said, it is preferred and in the best interest that each Tracker system owner have their own purchased copy of Tracker PC software.

Update:

2/7/2023 (SPA) Tracker V12 Software is no longer a purchased item. The software can be downloaded from the Software Downloads Center   https://tranetechnologies.sharepoint.com/sites/softwaredownloads/SitePages/Home.aspx 

Product Management decided not to put the software on the external Trane.com website for anyone to download and want the local sales office to determine who is allowed to receive the software. The thought is that there may be an opportunity to sell an upgrade and allow the local sales office to only distribute as needed.

 

2/1/18 (TT) Tracker software V12 and the latest Service Pack Tracker V12 SP9 are attached to this HUB Solution and available to be downloaded. Tracker software also includes the VariTrac III software.

 

10/24/2016 - Some preliminary testing has been accomplished with windows 10 and the testers were able to connect to the Tracker panel. But at this time the software will continue to be officially unsupported until further testing has been accomplished.

 

Notes:

If you are connecting through a serial link you will need a Trane direct connect cable. The part number is 3591-4260 and the adapter is 3591-4262. If the PC does not have a serial port, you will also need a USB to serial adapter
