Issue:
does the bypass damper return require any duct work?
Resolution:
duct on the bypass return is not required
bypass return can discharge right into the plenum
not the best design
if the discharge air is cold it will sink into the space and cool it down
bypass return should at least have an elbow to get the air moving in the right direction
better is to have a short return duct that is long enough for the bypass return to connect to
