Issue:
Varitrac CCP III alarm LED indicator
Resolution:
In the Varitrac software (CCP III) the blinking red status light in the upper right hand corner of the PC screen means that there is a diagnostic message in the alarm log. When the red light on the upper right hand corner of the CCP front panel is blinking, it means that the CCP is in Priority Shutdown. There is no way to disable this red status indicator. When you go to the Alarm Log with Varitrac PC software, there are two buttons: Update and Reset.  These buttons don't do what you think they do. The Update button clears out the diagnostics and scans for the current diagnostics BUT it doesn't cause the screen to even flicker and if the current diagnostics are the same as the ones already in the display it appears that the button does absolutely nothing, it can be very deceiving. The Reset Diagnostics button will reset latching diagnostics if there are any present. If none of the diagnostics is a latching diagnostic nothing will happen when you push the button, it appears to be broken.
If a Tracker is front ending a Varitrac, the CCP IIIÂ LED only comes on with a priority shutdown. Trackers red alarm light flashes when other Varitrac generated alarms or direct connected device alarms occur. Tracker recognizes 3 alarm classifications you select for alarm notification under Alarm Log and Setup. Whether Level 1, Level 1 and 2, all 3 Levels, or no alarm levels bring on the Alarm LED is determined under Alarm Notifications.
