Is it possible to upgrade version 10 Tracker to version 12?

Issue:

Is it possible to upgrade version 10 Tracker to version 12?

Resolution:

There are two issues, upgrading the PC software and upgrading the Tracker image.  The SP can only be installed on version 12 PC software.  Older versions are incompatible.  If the PC software is at v. 10 it will be necessary to install v.12 PC software from a CD before attempting to use the executable file for SPIII.  After installing v.12 PC software use the .exe file with SPIII to upgrade the PC software to SPIII.  It will then be possible to upgrade the iage in the Tracker V.10.  Note that there will be inconsistencies between the old database and the new database.  This means that old backups of the database will no longer work.  It may be necessary to write down the configuration of the Tracker and manually reconfigure it after the Image upgrade.
