Issue:
Tracker security setup, default passwords, temporary password
Resolution:
The default passwords for Tracker BMTK or VariTrac III are 1111 (supervisor) and 2222 (operator)
Â
The security feature must be enabled before it is operable. Initial enabling of security is not possible through the operator display. Passwords can only be changed using the Tracker software.
In the PC software select Panel Setup and then the Security tab, click the ENTER button. Enable/Disable is a pull down box. If security is enabled the supervisor password is needed to access the Security tab.
Â
If the Default Passwords do not work, you will need to call Technical Support for assistance. Also you (the Trane employee or Trane-authorized contractor) will need to get the facility administrator/ facility manager to send us (Trane technical support in St. Paul, Minnesota) an e-mail or fax which independently authorizes us to provide you with a new password to gain access to their system.
