Issue:
Details for UL listing for BMTK Tracker product
Resolution:
CARP#9128 WHAT ARE THE DETAILS REGARDING THE UL LISTING FOR USE IN CANADA? THE NOTES SAY CE LISTED FOR THE 24i ... WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?
Response: 1.) All Tracker models are UL and cUL listed. Only Tracker 24i is CE compliant. 2.) VariTrac is UL and cUL listed. VariTrac is not CE Complient at this time.   UL is an American agency listing for safety, cUL is the Canadian equivalent. As stated, all Tracker and VariTrac panels have UL and cUL listings (834Y) for Enclosed Energy Management Equipment. This can be proven to your customers as the listing label is molded into the plastic enclosure. This can be seen on the back side of the main module. Both the UL and the cUL labels are molded into the plastic.   CE is yet another listing for Electromagnetic emission and immunity. Tracker 24i receives this listing when an additional metal shielding is added to the main module during manufacturing. CE is required in Europe, often in Canada and sometimes in the US. For example, CE compliance may be required in the US for installations in sensitive areas such as airport control towers.   You will not get a CE model unless you specifically order the model 24i.
