Issue:
Forward Compatibility of EMTK Tracker/CCPII system to BMTK Tracker/CCPIII System
Resolution:
EMTK, BMTK, CCP II and CCP III and Summit are all obsolete.
Chances of finding older boards are slim.
Systems should be upgraded to Synchrony -Â Tracer SC+ VAS Types
Below is a summary of what was once supported.
Â
There are several issues:
The Tracker BMTK uses comm5 to communicate to CCP. The Tracker EMTK Tracker uses isolated comm3 to communicate to CCP. This means that replacing the EMTK with BMTK will require replacing any CCPIIs with CCPIIIs.
In the CCP II the supply air temperature sensor and air flow sensors (static or velocity) are wired directly to the CCP termination board. In the CCP these sensors are wired to a communicating bypass assembly at address 33. This means that these sensors will need to be replaced.Â
Both the CCPII and CCPIII use comm4 to communicate to VAV boxes. Any VAV UCM that uses comm4 can be retained.
If the RTU has reliatel controls it will be necessary to change the address of the TCI interface card from all off to all on.
If the RTU has UCP controls and is relatively new there is a communication interface card available (BRD02893). For very old UCP controls this may not work
Â
Notes:
If there are a number of CCPIIs in the system it may be more economical to use a BCU system. The CCPII is directly compatible with a BCU
