Problem:
Tracker EMTK is losing time. It has lost 60 minutes over a month and a half. Why does a Tracker lose time?

Solution:
There are five things that could cause a Tracker to lose time:

• The presence of an uninterruptable power supply.
• The close proximity of a variable frequency drive.
• Substantial power failures causing the Tracker to rely on the Dallas chip to keep time instead of using the 60 Hz frequency of the power supply.
• The power supply is not exactly 60 Hz or exactly 50 Hz. Since the Tracker uses this exact frequency to keep time, any deviation in frequency will cause a time error.
• Someone altered the time from the front panel of the Tracker.
