Problem:
Water soured heat pump applications with variable speed compressor may overcool or overheat the space. This is often associated with applications having low heating or cooling demand.
Resolution:
Extended time at compressor low speed (Oil Recovery Mode) is a control feature that monitors compressor run time and output. When the compressor operates for 90 continuous minutes at the minimum speed, the compressor speed shall ramp to 50% for 3 minutes and then will be released back to normal operation. This is to ensure that oil is getting back to the compressor.
