Summary:
Evaporator freezing protection for system A/B
Possible Cause:
- EEV blocked
- Poor heat exchange on the evaporating side
- Overcharged
- Low temperature on evaporating side
- Evaporator coil temperature sensor fault
Troubleshooting:
- Is the ambient temperature is below 40°F and the temperature on the evaporator is below 60°F = The board is protecting the unit
- Verify if T2 sensor failed - replace T2 sensor
- Verify if refrigerant charge (overcharge) - adjust charge
- Poor heat exchange on the evaporator coil - correct it
- Is there blockage - correct it
