LCI-R or LCI-RX Can we disable the thumbwheel setpoint
Summary:
The thumbwheel setpoint on the LCI-R or LCI-RX can not be disabled. To disable it, you will need to access the control settings of the device. The exact steps to disable the thumbwheel setpoint may vary depending on the specific model of the device
LCI-R SCC (Space Comfort Control) does not support Local Setpoint Enable/Disable.
The local setpoint is always enabled and cannot be disabled.
The only way to disable the local setpoint is to write nviSetpoint through BAS or to disconnect the local setpoint.
The communicated value always has priority over the local value and the default value.
The LCI-RX does support the Local Setpoint Enable/Disable bit in nciPersonality2.
Unfortunately there is no tool that gives us access to this bit.
See the end of this solution for how to enable or disable the Local Setpoint bit.
Tracker BMTK changes the default setpoints and does not communicate a setpoint.
If you want to use the default setpoints from Configuration, remove the setpoint wire on the RTRM J6-3 and J6-5 connector and cycle power on the unit.
When communications is lost to the unit, the unit will look for a thumbwheel setpoint before it uses its configured default setpoints.
Note: Follow this procedure to enable or disable the local setpoint if it is supported.
Connect with Rover and take screen shots of all the configuration pages.
Use Rover to download the Enable or Disable RCF.
Then use your screen shots to put the configuration back the way it should be.
