REPLACING INDOOR CONTROL BOARD /WITH NEW EEPROM

  • When replacing the Main control board on an indoor unit the following will need to be done.
  • Confirm first you are on the Home screen, using the home Icon.
  • The product option code will need to be written with the TUT (S-NET) tool, select the Add-0n Tab.
  • Then select Indoor Option Writer, you will see spaces for Product Option Code, Installation 1 and 2.
  • The Product option Code segment is what tell the new Eeprom what type indoor unit this is.
  • The installation codes are choices for the unit to have, Central control, condensate pump, Etc., these can be found in the IOM for each unit.
  • If you have an I identical unit in the system, you can just select the indoor unit with the new Eeprom and copy it and press the Write option tab, it should say download successful if it took the PO Code.
  • Some cases take a Hot Swap, that finding another unit in the system that you can see in TUT or SNET , with the Indoor powered up remove that Eeprom and install the new one , if it's the same unit , Ducted, Cassette, ETC You can select that unit and press write option it should come up as download successful , remove the new one , replace it with the original , then put the new Eeprom back in the unit with the new board and add it back to the system at the outdoor unit.

  • In most cases replacing an Indoor unit control board with a new Eeprom , will generate another unit in the indoor unit data tab.
  • If this is the case for a Heat Recovery system, press the Add on tab and then select Address change, go to MCU Port address.
  • Your will need to know the Address of the unit that the board was replaced and the exact MCU and port assignment, then select it and assign it to the old port assignment.
  • Example MCU 1 Port A,B,C,D,E,or F , this will eliminate the extra indoor unit quantity created with the board replacement.
