Issue:
Why does the combustion fan motor run all the time with no call for heat? Relay Harness Kit (KIT15855)
Resolution:
1. Disconnect power from unit.
2. Pull the orange and black motor leads from the ignition control and isolate leads.
3. Reapply power to unit.
4. If combustion motor still runs, replace combustion fan assembly (motor is shorted internally).
5. If combustion motor does not run, verify contacts on ignition control.
Notes:
Along with replacing the combustion motor, an optional relay harness kit (KIT15855) has been developed to isolate the combustion fan motor during the no heat call mode of operation. This kit will improve the reliability of the combustion motor. This kit is also for ReliaTel control units only.
