The E-163 error code points to an indoor unit having the wrong product code installed.
if this is the case the Main outdoor unit will display an A-20, with the address of the indoor unit in fault.
This would be a starting point to connect with the TUT Or SNET Tool and see if the Indoor unit has the correct product option code
If you see a U-200 Or U-201 This indicates the fault is at the outdoor unit, usually with a sub, which is a U-201 Or U-202.
For next gen Equip if an indoor unit is programmed in the ID Quantities section this will result in a E-163.
If it doesn't give the option to remove this indoor unit, press the K4 button for at least 2 seconds, this will run an auto detection for indoor units and should see this as 0.
For first gen Equip. the rotary dials on the main control board could have an indoor quantity set to any digit except 0, this would generate the E-163.
