- When you are replacing the Main control Board , if it comes with a new Eeprom , it is blank and will need to be Programmed through TUT or SNET.
- If the old Eeprom is defective, you will need to do a hot swap with a working outdoor unit!
- If existing Eeprom is still good, you would want to use it, to at least until you can get the new one programmed with a hot swap.
- If the outdoor Eeprom doesn't generate an E-201 Or E-162 you should be able to connect using the TUT or SNET tool and download required Firmware.
- When you download your file from the outdoor files, save it to downloads, it's in a Zip file that will need to extract it and wrote out in the File Name when downloading to the Eeprom.
- If those two alarms are present on the Outdoor display, you will have to use a unit that is operating with no alarms, connect with the Tool have your Firmware in a location where you can find it on your laptop. Remove the existing Eeprom and put in the new one, start the download, once download is successful, remove the new one and place the original back in the working unit and press the K3 button for reset.
- Install the new Eeprom in the unit that the firmware matched and press the K3 for a reset, if it comes up as UP (Unprepared), you will need to press the K1 Button for at least 5 Seconds this will start the commissioning process, verify operation completed in the tool, it should be completed at this time.
