This is required to keep the
  med and low speeds from being too low if a relatively low RPM speed is
  selected for the unit.

IF Unit Size = 012 OR 018 AND
  HI1 < 1350 Then MD1 = (HI1 + 900)/2

ELSE IF Unit Size = 024 OR 036
  AND HI1 < 1200 Then MD1 = (HI1 + 800)/2

ELSE IF Unit Size = 054, 072, OR
  090 AND HI1 < 900 Then MD1 = (HI1 + 600)/2

ELSE MD1 = HI1 * 0.85
