Issue:
What is Low Ambient Lockout?
Resolution:
This is a user enabled feature that prevents a unit from starting whenever the ambient temperature is below a specific setpoint. The factory default of the feature is "Disabled", and the setpoint range is between -20 (20 below zero) and 40 F. The factory default is 20 F.
It comes standard on CGA, CGAF, CGAM, CCAF, RTUA, RTAA, RTAC, RTAF, RTAE, ACSA, and ACR units.
It is not available from the unit controller on the CGWF, RTWA, RTHB, RTWD, or RTHD. If a water-cooled unit is to be shut off based upon low ambient lockout temperature, then a separate thermostat/controller (wired to the external auto/stop switch) or BAS system must be used to shut the chiller off.
