Issue:
What is the oil pressure for this chiller?
Resolution:
RTAA 130-400 ton - True oil pressure is not annunciated by the chiller. The RTAA 130-400 ton chiller uses a differential pressure switch to monitor the oil flow to the compressor. The switch is a normally closed switch that opens on a 50 psid drop across the oil filter circuit. Included in this circuit is the oil filter, master oil solenoid and a service valve. Typical pressure drop should be 20-25 psid with a clean (or new) oil filter.
