Issue:
Evaporator Water Flow Lost and Evaporator Water Flow Lost Lockout
- After the pump request was activated, water flow was established and then lost. Special action is to keep the evaporator pump request active in a diagnostic override mode.
- Evaporator Water Flow Lost Lockout is a diagnostic that occurs when Evaporator Water Flow Lost events occur 4 times within a 4 day time window.
- This diagnostic will be shown on all subsequent flow lost events unless the diagnostic does not occur within 4 days or the Main Processor (Dynaview) resets due to power loss.
- Corrective action should be taken to eliminate the cause.
Resolution:
- Review submittal for the following details:
- IFM flow switch setpoint
- Glycol type and concentration
- Water pressure drop and flow rate
- Validate water flow through the chiller. Reference the submittal for design flow and pressure drop information
- Verify the appropriate IFM flow switch is installed in the chiller per submittal
- Validate the orientation of the flow switch indexing dot. Refer to the Installation Operation Maintenance Manual for details
- Troubleshoot the flow switch operation, wiring to the 1A17 LLID, and the 1A17 LLID operation
- DO NOT JUMPER FLOW SWITCH
- Ensure the water piping has been purged to eliminate air which will cause inconsistent flow switch operation
