GP and GP2 Compressor Internal Relief Valve
Resolution:
RTAA 70-125 or RTAC 140-500
- internal pressure relief valve in GP or GP2 compressors are rated for 450 psi (differential) and a capacity of 17 lbmair/min
- Note that this relief valve is from high side to low side of the compressor, not high side to external ambient
- The valve "recirculates" the refrigerant inside the compressor if conditions ever cause it to lift
- There is one valve per compressor..
