High Motor Temperature
Resolution:
CGWD, CGWE, CGAD, CGAE, CCAD, CCAE:
- High Motor / Refrigerant Temperature - Compressor A B, C, or D
- C1, C2, C3, or C4
- This diagnostic is displayed when the High Motor/High Refrigerant Temperature input for the compressor is open.
- Normally, this occurs when either the motor winding thermostat or the refrigerant discharge thermostat for the respective compressor has tripped.
- This is a CMR diagnostic.
- This could mean a faulty t-stat, a bad motor, or both.
- Before condemning the compressor, ensure there is no wiring problem.
- Typically you will need to replace the compressor.
