Issue:
Adding External Chilled Water Setpoint (ECWS) to an RTAF chiller
Resolution:
Installing External Chilled Water Setpoint to an RTAF unit requires two additional LLIDs:
- 1K24 Dual Analog I/O (Percent Capacity and Chilled Water Setpoint)
- 1K25 Dual Low Voltage Binary Input (Auxiliary Setpoint Enable)
- The following changes must be made to the unit configuration using Tracer TU:
- Change External Setpoint Package to either 2-10Vdc or 4-2-mA
- Save configuration change
- Change setpoint source to EXT/FP
- The option must also be ENABLED on the TD7 as shown below:
- Go to SETTINGS...FEATURE SETTINGS...EXTERNAL CHILLED WATER SETPOINT...ENABLE...SAVE
- After installing the option for ECWS, the TD7 will display an additional title for Auxiliary Chilled Water Setpoint as shown below. To eliminate this from the display, you MUST remove jumper from 1K25 J2-1 and J2-2.
