CGAM Scroll Compressor Motor Information
Resolution:
The CGAM chiller uses CSHD and CSHN R410a scroll compressors. The compressor motors have the following electrical characteristics:
- Service factor - 1.0 (When the compressor is overloaded it will trip off)
- Maximum Acceleration time - Typical acceleration time is 0.20 seconds
- Maximum withstand time - 4 seconds (This is the maximum allowable time at LR)
Service factor, maximum acceleration time and maximum withstand time typically refer to "Open" or "TE" motors, not to specifically designed motors such as hermetic motors. This type of information is necessary when designing a starter system for a motor. The CGAM chiller is supplied with its own motor starter and protection system.
Notes:
See What compressor sizes and quantity do we use in this chiller? for cross reference table of compressor model number with CGAM chiller nominal tonnage.
