Issue:
Keypad replacement
Resolution:
RTAA 130-400 ton chillers
- Replacement board is BRD01090.
- Chiller programmed memory is not contained in the keypad/board. Memory is located on the main 1U1 circuit board.
- Occasionally, the front panel display buttons will wear out. Often this causes the display to enter a constant "scrolling" mode. The scrolling rate is such that it appears that the display is stuck, but it is actually moving so quickly that each sample time coincides with the P0 display.
- In the event that the display will not advance, the keypad can be replaced.
- The keypad will also be installed on a new 1U1 module, but this is considerably more expensive.
- If the chiller does not run there will be a need to change out the 1U1.
- Refer to RTAA-SB-13
Notes:
See RTAA-SB-13 for reference on this procedure.
