Issue:
R'Newal Compressor suction screen missing
Resolution:
To verify the screen is present, the compressor will have to be lifted and checked.
The suction screen sits up/inside the compressor and is riveted in place with three tap rivets. If looking at the compressor and not reaching up inside or visually using a light to verify the screen is in place; a technician may think the screen is missing.
The photograph in RTHA-SB-14 of the compressor and suction screen location is deceiving, as it appears the screen fits in the suction pipe coming up from the evaporator.
Chiller can run without screen in place.
