Issue:
RTAF Condenser Fan/Motor Information
Resolution:
The RTAF chiller will be built standard with low noise fans and EC fan motors. Each condenser fan motor will have a permanent magnet motor and integral VSD for increased efficiency and lower sound at part load conditions.
Motor and fan are built as an assembly and are not separable.
Information on the low noise fan:
- Low noise fan blade will be constructed of polymeric material
- Meets accelerated UV tests following ASTM G155
- 5 blades
- Dynamically balanced and direct drive
-
Nominal Speed
- 115T to 180T is 810 RPM
- 200T to 500T is 909 RPM
Information on EC fan motor:
- ECM motor
- Permanent magnet motor
- Integral variable speed drive
- Permanently lubricated ball bearings
- Internal temperature and current overload protection
- Overload and overcurrent protection - provided by VSD
- Meets IP54 (resistance to external environment aggressions)
- Motor insulation is Class F
-
Motor FLA (HP)
- 460/480V 60Hz - 2.8A
- 400V 50Hz - 3.5A
- 380V 60Hz - 3.4A
- Motor HP is 2.6 at max RPM
Information on Condenser Fan VSD
- Overload protection
- Overcurrent protection
- Under/Over voltage protection
- Over temperature protection
