Issue:
Diagnostic: E6 - Phase Reversal/Phase loss at Power Up
Resolution:
CGWD, CGWE, CGAD, CGAE, CCAD, CCAE:
The revision letter of the UCM software is displayed on the identification tag of the UCM along with the serial number and part number of the UCM. It will be displayed as REV. C, etc.,...
On UCM's prior to revision "D", the UCM monitored phase reversal/phase loss continually when powered. In revision "D", the UCM software only checks the phase at power up (in the first two seconds) if the phasing is not correct the E6 diagnostic will stop the machine. It should be reset by power disconnection to the machine. Software prior to revision "D", the E6 diagnostic was an automatic reset. If the revision "D" unit is reset at the UCM power switch, the unit will run and the display will flash "E6". Software revision "E" must be rest by power disconnection to the unit. It cannot be reset at the UCM. The E6 diagnostic on the "E" revision UCM can be disabled by placing dip switch SW3-5 in the ON position.
*Note: UCM's with REV. F or higher have mask chips, REV. B through E have replaceable EPROM's.
Troubleshooting:
- Phase Reversal/Phase Loss on Power UP (diagnostic E6) is sensed through incoming low voltage power to the UCM. Refer to Power Supply Checkout Procedure. The Current Transformers are NOT polarity or directional sensitive.
- Troubleshoot 1T2, and 1T12 transformers. Make sure transformers wiring/polarity is correct.
Notes:
See CGAD-SB-2B for troubleshooting reference.
