Issue:
Compressor is loading more when the unload solenoid valve is pulsed than when the load solenoid valve is pulsed.
Resolution:
There are two potential causes for this problem.
1. First, One of the gaskets on the discharge cover plates may be blown. It will be necessary to isolate the compressor and remove the oil filter housing and the cover plates to inspect the gaskets.
2. If the gaskets are found to be ok, then a lip seal may have failed. If this is the problem, the compressor cannot be repaired and must be replaced.

Other Question/Problem/Cause Statements:
- Compressor is loading more when the unload solenoid valve is pulsed than when the load solenoid valve is pulsed.
Facts:
- RTAA 70-125 TON (PUEBLO)
- Replacement compressor. Worked properly for one year. Within past two weeks, it started these symptoms.
- Verified that load and unload solenoid valves were wired correctly.
- Utilized a check for magnetism on the load solenoid when the unload solenoid was pulsed. This rules out the possibility that valves are wired such that both can be fired at once.
- Air-Cooled Chiller (Pueblo) (RTAA 70-125 Ton)
- Compressor Chiller (Pueblo) (RTUA)
- Water-Cooled Chiller (Pueblo) (RTWA)
