NOTE: This issue only applies to units with UC800 or Symbio800 Controls. CGAM units with CH530 controls did not annunciate this diagnostic if the Circuit Lockout was Enabled.
Issue:
Performing service on one circuit. Circuit is currently in a vacuum.
- Chiller will not start circuit that is not in alarm
- Circuit in alarm is out of refrigerant
- The very low suction pressure alarm is intended to protect the chiller when suction pressure transducers are assigned to the opposite circuit
Resolution:
- Lock out the circuit which is either out of refrigerant or under a vacuum during repair.
- Unbind the suction pressure transducer for the circuit which is Locked Out.
- NOTE: An alternate solution is to disconnect the suction pressure transducer from the IPC bus. However, this can result in moisture intrusion into the global connector which can lead to future issues.
- This will generate a communication loss, but will be isolated to the single circuit
- Verify all other devices are bound correctly in Binding View (Kestrelview) or LLID Binding (Tracer TU)
- Reset alarm
