Issue:
RTAA/RTCA Air Cooled chillers without low ambient option
Resolution:
RTAA 70-125 TON Chiller, RTCA 70-125 TON Condenser:
- Pre-Revcor Fans (October 2006): The Low ambient option for RTAA/RTCA Chiller/Condenser used variable frequency drives (VFD's) tied in to the lead fan of each circuit.
- When a chiller/condenser is purchased without the low ambient option, the chiller will come standard with a 1/2 pitch 3-blade fan on the lead fan motor for each circuit.
- Therefore, under the Service Settings Menu, "variable speed fan, circuit 1 & 2" should be set to Disable and "Low Ambient Unit, Half Airflow Fan" should be set to Enable.
