Issue:
Chiller is not loading up fast enough; how can I get the chiller to load quicker?
Resolution:
RTWA 70-125, RTAA 70-125, RTUA 70-125 TON chillers:
- This chiller utilizes PID control.
- Within the Service Settings Menu of this control platform, there is a specific parameter referred to as "Leaving Water Temperature Control Response Setpoint".
- By default, this parameter is set to 40, with a configurable range of 2 to 200.
- To accelerate the loading process of the chiller, it is advisable to raise the value of this parameter.
- Conversely, if the intention is to decelerate the chiller's loading speed, it is recommended to decrease the value of this parameter.
Caution: Changing this setting will influence the response needed from the EXV. Therefore, the EXV control response may need to be changed also.
