Issue:
Does the pump output rotate for the chilled water pumps?
Resolution:
CGAM 20-130 Ton
- The pump outputs off of the 1A9 Dual Relay Output will toggle back and forth for each pump when there is a need for a pump to run.
- The CGAM chiller has the ability to start one or two pumps with or without a VFD. For dual pump control without a VFD, the chiller should be configured for Evaporator Pump Control = Dual Pump fixed speed. If configured for Single Pump, only Pump 1 output will be energized.
- When configured for Dual Pump, the CH530 will swap pumps on detection of a fault (if Installed), or when a flow loss or overdue event occurs.
- It will also switch pumps each time the overall pump request is removed and re-engaged, unless a fault is detected on one of the pumps. If faults are detected on both pumps, the unit will be shut down.
- The control will not run both pumps at once.
