Issue:
Can the chiller start and stop the chilled water pump?
Resolution:
CGAF
- The chiller does have a pump output which can start and stop the chilled water pump. On the Cold Generator Module (1U48), the Solution Pump output can be found J14-11, 9. This output is tied into 1TB6-6,7; field connections should be made here.
- It is not a requirement that the chiller control the chilled water pump. It should be noted that the programming on the chiller may have to be changed to allow for the fact that the chiller is not controlling the pump.
- For the chiller to control the pump, the operator should access the Setup Menu, select General Unit Functions Setup Submenu, and select "Default Chiller Solution Pump Mode" to AUTO.
