Issue:
Is there a Schrader valve on the Low Pressure Cutout switch on CGAE, CGAF, and CGAC chillers?
Resolution:
- As a general rule, schrader valves are to be installed on the low pressure side of scroll chillers under the LPC switch.
- There should be Schrader valves on all the controls except those on the discharge line such as the high pressure cutout.
- Service valves do not have Schrader valves on them independent of their location.
Notes:
- There will not be schrader valves on the high pressure side of any scroll chiller.
Caution should be taken to ensure that the Schrader valve is installed when disconnecting a component even when it is supposed to be there.
Facts:
- CG series scroll chillers
- Air-Cooled Chiller - Intellipak (CGAC, CGAF, CGAE)
