BCI-R / BCI2-R MWU & DWU Checkout for Commissioning Agent
Summary:
Morning Warmup and Daytime Warmup are two critical procedures carried out by the commissioning agent to ensure that the mechanical systems of a facility are functioning optimally throughout the day.
Note: Make sure everything has been configured according to Step 1 in LCU VAV BCI-R Controls Staged Heat Issues (Max Heat Morning Warmup, Daytime Warmup) and table 1 in LCU BCI-R Point Configuration for Control with (non-Trane) Automation System.

MWU |
Set values as follow (all must be in service)
MO/7 = 2-unoccupied
MO/8 = 1-Auto
AO/11 Out of Service = INACTIVE (put it in service)
AO/11 = 60 deg. F (must be less than AO/4 - 1.5 deg. F)
wait for:
MI/19 = 13-Max Heat
MI/20 = 2-Unoccupied
|
Set present values as follow
MO/7 = 1-occupied
Upon Unocc. to occ. transition, the unit will be allowed to heat (assuming AI/15 is less than AO/4 minus 1.5 deg. F)
IF MI/19 = 13-Max Heat for < 6 minutes
Fan
1% for 6 minutes total (intended to allow VAV boxes to ramp up)
100% after 6 minutes
Heat
2-minute delay (once fan = 100%), then Heat will fire
MI/19 = 13-Max Heat for > 6 minutes
Fan
The fan will ramp to 100% right away
Heat
2-minute delay (once fan = 100%), then Heat will fire
|
MWU will terminate automatically
after 1 hour
or
once AO/11 > AO/4
Remember AO/11 requires a heartbeat/value written at least every 15 minutes

DWU |
Set present values as follow:
MO/7 = 1-occupied
MO/8 = 1-Auto
AO/2 = 72.5 Deg. F
AO/11 Out of Service = INACTIVE (put it in service)
wait for
MI/19 = 1-Auto (may instantly show *13-Max heat if space temp is below DWU Initiate)
MI/20 = 1-Unoccupied
|
AO/11 = 60 deg. F
AO/2 = 75 deg. F
*AO/11 must be < AO/43 must be less than < AO/5 must be less than < AO/2 minus AO/29
IF MI/19 = 13-Max Heat for < 6 minutes
Fan
