Reason for needing to reset the Trane TR200 VFD parameters
The parameters may need to be reset to factory defaults for improper VFD operation or the VFD is displaying alarms due to improper VFD parameter settings. If the VFD parameters have been changed from the factory default settings or it is unclear which parameters have been changed and the VFD is not operating properly, the VFD parameters can be reset to the factory default values.
How to perform a Trane TR200 VFD Parameter Reset
The parameters can be reset to the factory default settings using two different methods:
Method #1
1. Select parameter 14-22
2. Press (OK)
3. Select "Initialization"
4. Press (OK)
5. Shut off unit power at the disconnect and wait until the display on the VFD turns off
6. Reconnect the line power supply - the adjustable frequency drive is now reset
7. Change parameter 14-22 "Operation Mode" back to Normal Operation
8. Refer to VFD parameter label on front of VFD enclosure or to the unit wiring diagram for parameter listing
9. Change parameters listed on VFD parameter label to the values associated with the unit model
Method #2
1. Shut off unit power at the disconnect and wait until the display on the VFD turns off
2. Press (Status) - (Main Menu) - (OK) at the same time on the VFD LCP keypad while powering up the unit
3. Release the three keys after 5 seconds
4. The adjustable frequency drive is now programmed according to the factory default settings
5. Refer to VFD parameter label on front of VFD enclosure or to the unit wiring diagram for parameter listing
6. Change parameters listed on VFD parameter label to the values associated with the unit model
