BCI-R / BCI2-R Fan proving and fan output say on when fan speed is 0%
Summary:
If the fan speed speed command is set to zero, it means that the fan is effectively turned off
- Fan proving and fan output say on when fan speed is 0% for BCI-R
- Fan Speed is off but fan output is on
- MI 41 Supply Fan Status is always On
- MI 37 Supply Fan Proving Status is always On
If you have a smaller Reliatel Voyager or Precedent unit (3-25 Ton) the Fan Proving Switch is a normally open circuit. In other words Fan on the input is open, fan off, it is closed. If you do not have the switch, the Supply Fan Proving Status (MI37) always reads ON. The Supply Fan Status (MI41) (it's call Supply Fan Output in Tracer SC) follows the Supply Fan Proving Status. So, it always reports ON, even when the fan is off. The analog input #7 Supply Fan Speed Command will show the true state of the fan command of the Reliatel system.
27.5-50 Ton Reliatel Voyagers have a fan proving switch as standard equipment and it is reversed that of the smaller units. As such, when the fan is off the input is open and when the fan is on the input is closed
