Issue:
The Programmable Relay concept provides for enunciation or hardwired interlocking of certain events or states of the chiller. This option can be installed and configured in the field on existing chillers.
Resolution:
Programmable Relays
-
Requires the addition of the Quad Relay Output LLID
- See IOM and/or wiring schematic for specifics
- Utilizes four output relays
- Relay contacts are isolated Form C (SPDT)
- Suitable for use with 120 VAC circuits drawing up to 2.8 amps inductive, 7.2 amps resistive, or 1/3 HP and for 240 VAC circuits drawing up to 0.5 amp resistive
-
The output relays can be configured as desired based on a list of events/states
- Example shown below...reference IOM for a specific list
- Tracer TU or Techview service tools are used to install the Programmable Relay Option package and assign any of the above list of events or status to each of the four relays provided with the option.
- The default relay assignments are shown in Table 16 below
- SEE SPECIFIC IOM FOR ADDITIONAL DETAILS REGARDING THIS OPTION
Notes:
-
The following chillers can support up to 8 relays for this function and are provided with (2) Quad Relay Outputs
- ACSA, ACXA, RTAF, ACRB (375-550 Tons), and ACRC
