Dynaview Replacement Process RTAC

Issue:

Dynaview replacement process for RTAC units ONLY

Resolution:

• NOTE:  This process is specific to RTAC units.  A configuration file is NOT used during a process.

TECHVIEW SCREEN (non-Trane technicians)

KESTRELVIEW SCREEN (Trane technicians)

• Before you remove the damaged DV (Dynaview) from the unit, connect to it with KestrelView (Techview)
• Go to “Unit View” 
  • Record the Starts and Hours of each one of the compressors 

• It is recommended to also go to Configuration....Nameplate tab
  •  Record the Model Number and Confirm Code and compare to the unit nameplate
    • Nameplate will be based on the configuration from the factory
    • The values within Configuration...Nameplate tab includes all changes to the configuration since the unit was shipped from the factory.  Generally, it is recommended to used these values rather than nameplate

• Remove power from the chiller
• Remove and replace faulty Dynaview
• Reapply power to the chiller
• Perform a Techview local connection
  • Message indicating "No Application Present" will be displayed
  • Follow the prompts
• Select the product type:  RTA
  • NOTE:  For RTAC units you must  select "RTA" firmware....do NOT select "RTAC EMEIA" as this is for "Europe, Middle East, India, and Asia"

• Next select the highest available MP firmware version
• Select Download Software to Main Processor
• The software will load, then you will be prompted to configure the chiller
  • RTAC units will use the model number, serial number, and confirmation code (CRC) to load configuration
    • This numbers can all be found on the unit nameplate or the values recorded in previous step
    • These values must be loaded into the "NAMEPLATE" tab within the Configuration menu
    • For an example of the process, use the link above 

• Once the configuration has been loaded by one of the previous methods, select "LOAD CONFIGURATION" at the bottom of the screen to compete the download to the CH530

• Update the following details:
  • Chilled water setpoint
  • Differential to start and stop
  • Compressor starts and hours
    • Must be completed using KestrelView in Access Level 4
  • Leaving water temperature and low refrigerant temperature cutout values (based on water-only or glycol)
