Issue:
New chiller not configured for low temp chilled water setpoint
Resolution:
To change a RTAA from Comfort Cooling to Low Temp Cooling:
- Push the Service Settings button on the chiller control panel
- Press the "Next" button until the screen to enter the Service Setup /Machine Configuration Menu screen appears
- Enter the correct password (++--++, Enter) for the Service Setup Menu
- Change the Low Water Temp EXV Gain Comp to "Enabled"
- Change the Leaving Water Temp Cutout Setpoint and the Low Refrigerant Temp Cutout Setpoint to the values shown in Table 17, page 98 of RTAA-SVX01A-EN
Adequate glycol protection must be present in the chilled water loop before attempting to change the menu settings to allow lower chilled water leaving temperature settings.
Validate the machine has a VFD for the first fan of each circuit. If it does, then make sure that variable speed fan control is "Enabled" in the Machine Configuration Menu. Enter this menu by first pushing the Service settings button and hitting next until the Service Setup/Machine Configuration Menu screen appears. Enter the password (+-+-+-, Enter).
